There are many reasons for the deformation of aluminum alloy profile parts, which are related to materials, parts appearance, processing technology standards, cutting oil characteristics and so on. The key points are as follows: deformation caused by internal stress of the hair embryo, deformation caused by cutting force and cutting heat, and deformation caused by clamping force.
Processing technology measures to reduce workpiece deformation:
1.Reduce the internal stress of wool embryo
The internal stress of the hair embryo can be partly removed by using aging and vibration solution or pre processing technology, and the workpiece with large capacity has large deformation. If the unnecessary part of the wool embryo is removed in advance and the capacity of each part is reduced, not only the deformation of the subsequent technological process can be reduced, but also a part of the internal stress can be released.
2.Effective selection of main parameters of tool geometry
Front angle: under the standard of maintaining the compressive strength of the edge, the front angle should be selected to be larger appropriately. On the one hand, it can grind the sharp edge, in addition, it can reduce the cutting deformation and make the milling surface complete, thus reducing the cutting force and cutting temperature.
Back angle: the size of the rear angle has an immediate harm to the damage of the rear edge and the process performance. In rough milling, because of the high cutting speed, heavy cutting load and large calorific value, the heat dissipation standard of tool heat pipe is specified to be good, so the back angle should be selected smaller. In finish milling, sharp cutting edge is required to ease the friction between the back edge and the surface layer and reduce the ductility deformation, so the back angle should be selected larger.
Helix angle: in order to make the cutting stable and reduce the cutting force, the helix angle should be selected as large as possible.
Main inclination angle: properly reducing the main inclination angle can improve the heat dissipation standard of heat pipe and reduce the average temperature.
3.Improve tool construction
Reduce the number of turning tool teeth and increase the space of chip chamber. Because the plastic deformation of aluminum alloy material is very large and the cutting deformation is very large, it needs a large chip holding room space. Therefore, the chip holding groove bottom half diameter should be large and the number of turning tool teeth should be less.
